Mexico VT update

It's is Monday morning and as we wait for our flights to return to the states and "come down off the mountain", the team had an awesome time of reflection and "downloading". Our partners Here in Mexico has been overwhelming. Each of the team is praying and seeking God's plan regarding what HE has shown us.
Below are just a couple images of many that will be shared...Gloria Dios!

Peru Day 2 ... Ninos y Ninas

Yesterday's theme of "open the eyes of my heart Lord" flowed into today and continues to be the theme. Everyplace we go, there are so many boys and girls that are in situations of extreme poverty. One example of what we heard today in one community, there literally aren't any jobs anywhere. The parents must travel 3 hours one way just to try to get to where they can earn money to feed their family. Then 3 hours home…can you imagine this. It almost seems hopeless. And then, there is the church. Making a massive impact in the community. The church is the only thing that is bringing hope to this and all of the communities that we fell in love with today. Praise Jesus! He loves these people so much and they know it.

We were so blessed to experience a little change of pace today…on some trips we have been so blessed to have the members of the church wash our feet as our Lord did for the apostles. We were blessed to be allowed to wash the feet of the children in one Hope Center and feed them as well. God is alive and well here in Peru and The Holy Spirit was ever present…Thank you Jesus!

Peru has been nothing short of Spirit Filled

We landed in Lima late Wednesday evening. The overwhelming hospitality, caring and love of our partners never ceases to amaze me. At 11:30pm, we were still greeted by a large group of people who had beautiful smiles on their faces and hugs for everyone. They had a bus waiting for us and as we exited the airport in the cool Lima evening, we were off to our hotel to get a good night's rest for our first full day to come.

After breakfast and a wonderful devotion from Todd … a little singing, "open the eyes of my heart" we were off! We met several of our partners from Peru and they took us on a tour of Lima. The architecture in the city is amazing. The Presidents home, Cathedrals and much more. A visit a church and Hope Center topped off our first day. Our team is getting to know one another while allowing The Holy Spirit to have His way with us. Thank you for your prayers. We have seen already MANY children and the need for the church is unmistakable. More to come.

This sums up our day...

Thanks,

832.347.2972Today was an adventure, to say the least. There were some high highs, and some low lows, but all the while, God was carrying us through. And through every hurdle, we could feel his hand pushing us along to our next destination.

We had the pleasure of visiting three completed churches, located within a couple hours of each other. Quick bus ride right? The clouds had other plans for our easy transport. It rained most of the day, which rapidly created muddy roads and flooded streets. I'm talking knee deep in some places. I can't even count the amount of times I thought, "Ok, for sure we're going to stall out now." But every time, we made it through.

Upon the arrival to church two, our buses became stuck in the mud. But with the help of our Bolivian brothers and some very strong men on our team, we were able to push it out of the mud and get on to our next location!

The hilarious picture you'll see below is the arrival at our last church stop. I'm the very long mannequin looking girl a top the very strong man. This is how a city girl makes it the last leg of the journey, haha. I have a nice boyfriend :) The flooding and mud had reached a maximum from the saturation of the day. And this particular church was located about two blocks in from the main road. The path was muddy, flooded and dirty. Our leaders gave us all the option to stay on the bus, but every single member of our team traversed the obstacles and made it inside. I think we all knew God has something incredible waiting for us at the other end. And wow, did He ever! We were greeted with some of the kindest most welcoming people we could ever hoped to have met. Hugging us, kissing us and whole heartedly welcoming us to their beautifully constructed new church. We danced an ancient Bolivian dance, we sang and shared the love of Jesus with these incredible people and it wasn't long before we all forgot about our wet feet and clothes. We were warmed by the love of Christ and all feeling more blessed than we could ever imagine.

It was truly amazing to see what a joyful time God created from the hardships we faced getting there. Thank you to Jesus, for guiding and directing our steps in everything we do. I look forward to what else you have in store for us!

Thought we might need to build an ark

Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in good health, just as your soul prospers...

Bolivia Day 1

Our team of 21 has arrived. All is extremely well. The team is getting to know one another while at the same time getting to meet our Bolivian Partners and interpreters.
Our first day was incredible! Lord how can you top what you have already done through the faces of the beautiful orphan girls that have now become family?
We anxiously await our Lord presence today. Amen!
